Polyethylene glycol is a kind of high polymer, the chemical formula is HO(CH2CH2O)NH, non-irritating, slightly bitter taste, with good solubility in water, and many organic components have good compatibility. With excellent lubricity, moisture, dispersion, adhesion, it can be used as an antistatic and softening agent, etc., in cosmetics

Application

1. Used in the medicine. The lower molecular weight product can be used as a solvent, co-solvent and emulsifier o/W, molecular weight stabilizer to produce emulsion and cement injection. It is also used as a base for water solubility ointment and a base for a suppository. Higher molecular weight ceramic solid product can be used to improve the viscosity and stability of lower molecular weight liquid PEG. It is used as a solid dispersant carrier. PEG4000 and PEG6000 are favorable capsule material, hydrophilic material, mesh and bladder tissue, plasticizer, lubricant and drop pill base to produce troche, pill, capsule and microcapsule, etc.
